Jen

Jen Merrill is a former middle school band director/private flute teacher turned writer and blogger. After fourteen years in beautiful Colorado, she has returned to Chicago with her family, and wishes winter had improved in her absence. In addition to writing, she is a passionate advocate for gifted education and talent development, especially focused on the needs of the parents. Jen has experienced student travel from all angles: student, teacher, spouse, planner, and eventually will as a parent. Her favorite travel destination is Walt Disney World, her life motto is "If you decide to confide in others, you'll discover you're not alone," and her Walter Mitty fantasy (this week) is to renovate her mid-century home from top to bottom and stay married.
