Check out the City Hall, an 1870’s building that ranks as Canada’s best example of Second Empire architecture. See the Marche Bonsecours, a domed, two-story building that served as Montreal’s public market for over a century.

One of the grandest examples of gothic-revival architecture, the interior of this basilica boasts a deep blue ceiling with gold stars, along with other richly colored feature. Dedicated in 1829, its stained glass windows forgo the usual bible scene, instead depicting the history of Catholicism in Montreal.
