Go back to the time of early settlers, fur-traders and loggers with this Michigan history tour. Our exclusive Michigan Heritage Program is a state-approved supplement to Michigan 4th-5th grade history curricula. Taking place on the historic and beautiful Mackinac Island, this Michigan educational tour brings students out of the classroom into the era of Michigan pioneers and Potawatomi Indians. They’ll learn about the native tribes, fur traders, loggers and military personnel who utilized the island as they participate in historical reenactments and visit important sights.
