School officials who are in search of inspiration for their next fundraiser may want to look to their colleagues’ wrists. There is a good chance one or more of them are wearing rubber bracelets that they purchased or were given in support of a cause.
Based on the success of these campaigns, it may be a good idea for schools to sell special bracelets in support of their own cause – educational travel.
While schools can certainly order bracelets for the fundraiser, it may be more fun if students create their own in art class.
First, art teachers should see what materials they have lying around the classroom, including cloth and beads. They can then run to an arts and crafts store and pick up enough additional supplies so that each student can customize his or her bracelet.
After the bracelets have been assembled, art teachers can collect them all and display them in heavily trafficked parts of the school during the recess and other breaks in the day. For $1 a piece, students and faculty can pick out one or more of their favorite bracelets and wear them around school.
As no students will want to miss out on the fun, the school is sure to raise money for educational tours.
