Bangkok

Bangkok is one of Asia's most cosmopolitan and contrasting cities, where modern skyscrapers and bustling street markets meet traditional temples steeped in history and culture. The city is world famous for its exquisite cuisines, Floating Market ('Damnoen Saduak') and Royal Grand Palace.

Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh is Cambodia's capital and largest city. Once known as the 'Pearl of Asia', the city was considered one of the loveliest French-built cities in Indochina and is still known for its beautiful and historical architecture and attractions, including the National Museum, the Silver Pagoda and the Royal Palace.

Ayutthaya

The ancient capital city of the Ayutthaya Kingdom, or Siam, was founded in 1350 by King U Thong and is home to over 400 stone temples and Buddhist statues. Nestled in the valley of the Chao Phraya River the city is sometimes referred to as the 'Venice of the East'.

 

Day 1 ~ United States * Bangkok

Fly overnight to Bangkok, Thailand

 

Day 2 ~ Bangkok

Travel to the Royal Grand Palace, known as an Oriental Masterpiece, where you will see the Emerald Buddha

Visit the most significant temples in Bangkok, Wat Trimit, Wat Pho and Wat Benchamabophit

Enjoy an authentic Thai Dinner followed by a performance of Thai classical dances

 

Day 3 ~ Bangkok * Ayutthaya

Travel to Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of Siam and said to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world

Explore temple ruins, Buddhist statues and Thai, Chinese and Gothic architecture at the Summer Palace

Enjoy the scenery while cruising back to Bangkok

 

Day 4 ~ Bangkok

Experience Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, and see hundreds of boats filled with produce and spices

Travel on to the Rose Garden and enjoy lunch and a cultural show to include Thai dancing, Thai boxing, a traditional wedding and maybe ride an elephant

 

Day 5 ~ Bangkok * Ho Chi Minh

Fly to Ho Chi Minh and spend the afternoon exploring the city’s wonders

Start your tour at the Historical Museum and enjoy a traditional water puppetry performance

Take in Notre Dame Cathedral and explore the old Presidential Palace

Venture through Cholon, known to most as Chinatown, with its colorful atmosphere and mysterious temples

Visit the Thien Hao Pagoda with the enormous burning incense-coils

 

Day 6 ~ Ho Chi Minh * Vinh Long * Can Tho

Travel toward Vinh Long, first boarding a boat to explore the floating market in Cai Be, and then continue to Binh Hoa Phuoc Island to see the tropical orchards and famous Bonsai garden of Mr. Sau Giao

After arriving in Can Tho, head down Cai Son canal by boat, then experience the village and its culture via bicycle

 

Day 7 ~ Can Tho * Chau Doc

Head north-west to Chau Doc, situated on the Cambodian border

Aboard a boat, visit some of the unique fish farms in Chau Doc, and then continue on to a village of stilt houses, where colorful tradition can be seen

Take in the sunset after driving up Sam Mountain

 

Day 8 ~ Chau Doc * Phnom Penh

Head up the river to Phnom Penh, once considered one of the most beautiful cities in the Orient

Explore the city sites and take in the National Museum, the Silver Pagoda, the Royal Palace and Vat Phnom

 

Day 9 ~ Phnom Penh * Siem Reap

Board a flight to Siem Reap and continue on to visit Roluos Group, three of the area’s most important temple ruins

Visit Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world

End the day with a sunset view from Phnom Bakheng

 

Day 10 ~ Siam Reap * United States

Visit the fortified city of Angkor Thom, take in the monumental gates, the Pyramidal Baphuon, the Terrace of the Leper Kings and the Terrace of Elephants
