Milwaukee

Though often overlooked, Milwaukee is truly a diamond in the rough. There are numerous sites to explore such as the Allen Bradley Clocktower, the world’s largest four-face clock, and the Milwaukee Public Museum, which is home to the world’s largest dinosaur skull. It’s also where the typewriter was invented. Milwaukee has also been the home of many famous people throughout history. It is the birthplace of actor Gene Wilder, who played numerous roles; including, Willy Wonka in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and a longtime residence of famous world leader, Golda Meir. It’s also the hometown of Harley-Davidson and the official national headquarters for bowling. While visiting, your students can tour The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, designed by the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright or explore the venue for the world’s largest music festival. Whatever is on your agenda while in Milwaukee, your students are in for a real Midwestern treat.
