The long-standing political and cultural capital of the People’s Republic of China, Beijing is a city with ancient ties and an important place in the modern era. Explore the many museums within this region and be sure not to miss the historic Forbidden City.

Shanghai

Shanghai is a financial and artistic hub for China. Your student group can explore the city’s many sites dedicated to China’s fashion, artistic, and cinematic history.

Xi’an

Xi’an is one of the oldest cities in China. Home to many of famous dynasties, your student group can take in the treasures of these ancient royalty. Visit the over 6,000 famous Terra-cotta Warriors and walk along Xi’an’s city wall.

Explore Qianmen Street

Day 3 ~ Beijing

Begin the day in Tiananmen Square, the largest square in the world

Visit the Forbidden City (Imperial Palace)

Walk through Summer Palace (Imperial Garden)

Day 4 ~ Beijing

Day 5 ~ Beijing * Xi’an

Take a Tai Chi class, a Chinese art form that promotes health and relaxation

Fly to Xi’an, the oldest city in China

Day 6 ~ Xi’an

Visit Terracotta Warriors and Soldiers Museum, China’s first and largest imperial tomb

Tour a Terracotta Factory

Visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda Park, the symbol of Xi’an

Day 7 ~ Xi’an * Shanghai

Visit the Shaanxi Provincial History Museum

Travel to the Ancient City Wall

Fly to Shanghai, the largest city in China

Walk through the LuJiaZui area and view Bund

Day 8 ~ Shanghai

Explore the Chinese relics found in the Shanghai Museum

Visit Jade Buddha Temple, the most famous temple in Shanghai

Tour the Silk Factory

Visit the Yuyuan Garden, the famous family garden built in the 16th century

Walk through Nanjing Pedestrian Streets
