Our town has two middle schools, with three intermediate level schools feeding into each of them. Since students have former classmates spread across both the middle schools, we always combine the schools for our trips to Springfield, Illinois (7th grade) and Washington, D.C. It’s just a fact of student travel that barring a lucky lottery ticket, groups will have to fundraise. Every group in the school, plus nearly every non-school group, is doing the exact same thing.
